Shrove Tuesday pancake supper

Despite the snow, two dozen folks showed up for supper (and to watch the kitchen get more and more smoked up).


The guys started cooking about 4.30 and had enough batter for 40 people. Somehow we did not have much trouble polishing off the flapjacks.


This does not really show how smoked up the kitchen got but we did not set off the fire alarm/smoke detector.

The children got to make Mardi Gras masks and had fun running around the parish hall in them.

Shrove Tuesday

Despite the (mild) snowfall, we're on for dinner tonight from 5.00 on. Then men are at work as I post this and I will wander down later to see how smoky they've gotten the kitchen. So come get the total sugar high you've always wanted.

Bishop Barahona's Visit

Don't forget that this Sunday at 9.30 we will welcome the Most Rev'd Martín Barahona, Bishop of El Salvador and Archbishop of the Anglican Church of the Region of Central America.

Bring along a check made out to Fundación Cristosal so that at our brunch we can present Bishop Barahona with a donation to the church in El Salvador.

And bring your friends and family! It doesn't matter if you don't speak Spanish. God will be worshipped and we will have a grand time.

Work Day

On Saturday 6 June over a dozen people contributed their morning to painting, weeding, planting seeds, clipping, pruning, cleaning out refrigerators and more.

Women of Trinity's annual auction

On Monday 1 June, the Women of Trinity met at the rectory for their annual auction. After supper, Elizabeth acted as auctioneer, rousing the gathering to spend, spend, spend!


It is possible to cram fifteen people into the living room and most seemed comfortable on the Victorian furniture.

Rogation Sunday

Today we 'beat the bounds' and blessed seedlings and flowers for our gardens. Many thanks to Wendy who took the photos.

A reading from the Book of the Prophet Ezekiel.

I will make with them a covenant of peace and banish wild animals from the land, so that they may live in the wild and sleep in the woods securely. I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing. The trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase. They shall be secure on their soil; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I break the bars of their yoke, and save them from the hands of those who enslaved them. They shall no more be plunder for the nations, nor shall the animals of the land devour them; they shall live in safety, and no one shall make them afraid. I will provide for them a splendid vegetation so that they shall no more be consumed with hunger in the land, and no longer suffer the insults of the nations. Procession
The procession will go through the Memorial Garden, to the corner of Church and West Streets, across the front of the property to the parking lot in front of the chapel. The procession will stop three times (outside the Memorial Garden, front walk and chapel), for a prayer for the gifts of creation. The Canticle will be said during the procession.
